About Invert
An endless runner through fractured gravitational fault lines, with exactly one control: flip which way is down.
One button games live or die on whether the single action is interesting enough to sustain attention. Invert's is, because flipping gravity is not a jump — it is a commitment. The moment you invert, your vertical velocity is zeroed and replaced with acceleration toward the opposite surface, and you cannot change your mind until you land. Every press is a decision you have to live with for the next second.
Controls
| Action | Keyboard | Mouse | Touch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Invert gravity | Spacebar, W or up arrow | Left click | Tap anywhere |
That is the entire control scheme. There is nothing else to learn and everything else to master.
How the physics works
- Instant momentum shift. Inverting zeroes your vertical velocity immediately and applies constant acceleration toward the opposing surface. There is no arc to a flip the way there is to a jump.
- Surface contact required. You cannot invert mid-flight. You must be touching floor or ceiling. Panic-tapping in the air does nothing, and the input is not buffered — so mashing actively costs you the flip you needed on landing.
- Speed climbs continuously. The canyon scrolls faster the longer you survive, which compresses your reaction window rather than changing the obstacles.
How to get further
- Look ahead, not at yourself. Watch the right edge of the screen. By the time an obstacle is next to you the decision is already made.
- Flip early. Almost every death is a late flip. The transit between surfaces takes real time and beginners consistently underestimate it.
- Do not mash. Since flips only register on contact, extra presses achieve nothing and break your rhythm.
- Settle into the pulse. The canyon generates in rhythmic patterns. Once you stop reacting shot-to-shot and start feeling the cadence, runs get substantially longer.
Scoring
Distance is the score, and it accrues faster as the canyon speeds up, so the final stretch of a long run is worth far more than the opening. Runs sync to a global leaderboard. No download, no install, no account needed to play.
